U.P. Checklist Updated January 2008

Scott Hickman has compiled a checklist of Upper Peninsula birds that is now available for viewing on our U.P. Checklist Page. This checklist is composed of all 388 species acceptable as having been observed within Michigan’s Upper Peninsula as of January 6, 2008 according to Michigan Bird Records Committee standards. The sequence of birds in this list follows the American Ornithologists’ Union’s 7th Edition Checklist, 48th Supplement. A printable version is also available for download. |

2010 LWAS Activities

The Laughing Whitefish Audubon Society of Marquette and Alger Counties holds meetings on the second Wednesday of each month (September-May) at 7 pm in Marquette at the Peter White Public Library Community Room (unless otherwise noted.) Non-members are always welcome to attend.
